Shari Darling is Canada's only aboriginal wine writer and is an award winning and best selling author and columnist celebrating wine and food.

Shari Darling is also the creator and president of The Moan Factory ® – a brand celebrating cookbooks and artisan food products for the avid home cook and wine lover.

Under this brand she has created a line of wine savvy dry rubs for fish, chicken, pork and beef, all available at http://www.moanfactory.com .

She has also written several books on food and wine, including Harmony On The Palate. Harmony celebrates breakthrough principles in pairing wine with food, along with simple recipes and matching wine notes. This cookbook is a best seller and is implemented into the food and wine training programs at colleges and universities across Canada, including George Brown College in Toronto.

Shari Darling's most recent cookbook called Orgasmic Appetizers and Matching Wines – Tiny Bites with the MOAN FACTOR© was awarded Best Food and Wine Pairing Cookbook in Canada at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in 2008. Other wine learning tools created by Shari include the Icewine Flavour Wheel and The Canadian Wine Wheel.

Shari Darling was co-host of the national TV series, ‘Simply Wine and Cheese’ with the late Al Waxman. She was also the regular ‘resident wine expert’ on the national daily TV show, ‘Homestyle’ with Anne Kennedy.

Author, co-author and ghostwriter, Shari has written eight books, two of which were bestsellers. Five of these books celebrate food and wine pairing. For her books, Shari has been interviewed on news and lifestyle programs throughout Canada, such as Dini Petty, Breakfast TV, WTN Weekday, Canadian Living Magazine TV, Global News, CFTO News, CTV News and many more.

Shari Darling is a standing member of the Wine Writer's Circle of Canada. She is also co-author of the ‘The Wine Manual’, which has served as the most sought after manual for sommelier and wine training in colleges and universities across Canada for the past seven years.

Shari Darling has written countless articles for newspapers and magazines and served as a regular wine columnist for the national trade magazines, ‘Wine Tidings’ and ‘Enoteca’ and a hip-cool rag called ‘Scene’ for gen-Xers living in London, Ontario. She has also served as a wine judge in places such as Canada, New York, and Beijing.
